New ways to stay fit on the 17th…

No one was quite sure whether it was too much sun or a new fitness routine for Sylvia, Jules and Val!  A joyful rendition of, row, row, row the boat gently down the stream was certainly a sight for sore eyes ( although some mentioned less so for the ears 🙂 )

RyderHeim Cup Postponed to October 7th, 2023

This is an important notice regarding changes to this years ‘RyderHeim’ Cup information.
For a number of reasons this event is being rearranged for SATURDAY 7th OCTOBER and will replace the planned Men’s Club Stableford and the Ladies Medal, both currently set for that day.
Additionally, the event is going to be an 18 - hole morning only competition for four-ball teams (which it actually was last year), consisting of:
  • 6 Holes of Foursomes
  • 6 Holes of 4 Ball Better Ball
  • 6 holes of Singles
More info to follow.

The golf will be followed by lunch and prize-giving.  In the meantime please start putting together your 4-ball teams to ensure that we get a bumper turnout for this fun event.

It was a steady month in August – in preparation for September!

August results:

Friendly v Huntswood – draw

League v Chiltern Forest away – match conceded to PRGC

League v Whiteleaf away – win for Whiteleaf

Grannies Cup – won by Jill Peppett

Ladies Inaugural Cup – won by Jill Peppett

Many congratulations to our Captain, Jill. We all enjoyed the sweets on Grannies Cup day!

The Ladies Chiltern League is split into 2 groups and the great news this month is that our ladies have won their group.  Well done Ladies!  There is a play-off between the two group winners to find the Chiltern League Champions.  PRGC will be playing Chartridge Park in the final at Weston Turville on Wednesday, 13 September.   We wish them the very best of luck and as we have heard a lot recently

– BRING IT HOME!

In view of this our Charity Day has been moved to Wednesday, 6th September and we hope to see as many of you as possible coming along to support our very worthy cause, MNDA.

A BINGO NIGHT will be held at the clubhouse on Friday, 22nd September in aid of the two Captains’ charities.  Cost £15 per person including supper and first 6 games.  Eyes down at 7.30 pm.   Do come along and join in the fun.

Charity Bingo Night Friday Sept 22 2023

Dear PRGC Members,
The final charity joint fundraising event for mine and Jill’s charities is a BINGO NIGHT being held on FRIDAY 22nd September commencing with ‘eyes down’ at 19.30.
The cost will initially be £15 per head which includes supper and the first session of 6 games of Prize Bingo.
After supper we will then have 6 games of Cash Bingo for which tickets will be sold on the night at £10 for the total of 6 games. There will be good cash pay-outs for this session.
Tickets are available from me, or you can register with Sarah at the Club,
I very much look forward to having a fun evening on 22nd with you.
