Free Usage of Ball Collector…

Manisha is modelling the latest addition to our Academy Practice Area

Any member wishing to borrow the ball collector, please ask any member of the bar staff... it is free to use and trust me, when you are picking up a lot of balls, it'll be a lot easier on your back.

Additionally, we have reduced the height of the 'rough' to maintain definition but significantly speed up ball location 🙂

Captain’s Charity Day – Friday September 15th

This year we are supporting Rennie Grove - a charity providing care and support for patients in Bucks diagnosed with life-limiting illness. They make it possible for patients to choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life.  The support they provide for families both during the illness and after bereavement is an integral part of their care. 85% of the funding required is from public donations - this is a special charity that needs and deserves our support.

Princes Risborough Golf Club are big supporters of Rennie Grove and after visiting their website we hope that you will be too

If you are a golfer or know golfers who would like to participate in this event to help raise awareness and money for Rennie Grove ...

PS This year features a special Academy Challenge. If all 4 of your team beat Gary - he donates!! You can't lose!!

New Compressor and Shoe Cleaning Area

A quick heads up…

We have purchased a new compressor and we are planning to move the shoe cleaning area from its current location over the next 2 weeks.

Thank you for your patience in this regard

Fortress PRGC still intact – but September 2nd is the big one!!

The home match with Chesfield Downs on Saturday 12th August was once again a hard fought affair resulting in a draw three matches each. The highlights for PRGC were once again provided by the Wagerfield brothers with another stonking win and Alan Jackson and Gavin Adams who once again delivered a solid victory. The outstanding performance came from John Tubb and Dave MacKenzie with a massive 5&3 win. John is something of a cameo player making occasional appearances when in the UK. As such he is unbeaten in the CBL for 10 years-its a pity we cannot get him to play more often!!

Our last two matches of the season are as follows:

  • Saturday 2nd September HOME to Aldwickbury Park
  • Saturday 16th September AWAY at Chartridge Park

The big question is - can we hold our unbeaten record at home against top of the league Alwickbury Park and can we score our first away win of the season against Chartridge Park

Come on chaps!!

CBL Team Just Pip Oakland Park in this years ‘head to head’…

We played today away at Oakland Park and lost 4:2.  Another great win for the Wagerfield brothers who are playing really well this year and delivering solid wins. Also very good to see Sean Cummins backing up his Captains Trophy and Anniversary Cup wins with a winning appearance in the league match partnering Alan Jackson who is also in a rich vein of form. All away points are hard earned and the four players have played well to secure their wins.

As we beat Oakland 4.5: 1.5 at home we nudged the head to head this year but that does nothing for league points-unfortunately!!

Next week 12th August is the match with Chesfield Downs at home where we are seeking to maintain our unbeaten home record this year.

Best wishes

Fortress PRGC!! Another Home Win!!

The men’s team continued their impressive home form in the Chiltern Breakfast League with a 4.5 : 1.5 win against Oakland Park on Saturday 22nd July. The four winning pairs delivered solid wins and the other two matches both went to the 18th hole so an altogether very satisfactory result. Thus far PRGC are unbeaten at home in the CBL 2017 but the away form is less impressive. The next match is the return away at Oakland Park on Saturday  05 August followed by the home match with Chesfield Downs on 12 August. These are vital matches for the team to win.
