New Weekend Value Pack for 5 Day Members

Weekend Value Pack for 5 Day Members - Just £50

We have been made aware of an opportunity to create a new deal for 5 day members, who on the odd occasion may wish to play a competition or a game on a weekend but cannot quite justify upgrading to a 7 day membership or paying a w/e green fee.

The difference between a 5 and 7 day membership is £100.

5 Day members play on the weekend at guest rates:

  •  A morning w/e green fee is £38, or £30 guest rate.  Normal 5 Day concession rate for a w/e competition is £20 per day.
  • It was suggested that we create a W/E Value Pack for 5 day members and we are going to give it a try.

Cost of Value Pack:     £50 per year

Offer:    4 x W/E Games for £50 (equivalent to just £12.50 per round!)

As a Special Xmas Offer we are offering the Green Fee Element of the Xmas Eve Texas Scramble (£10) Free if you sign up to the Value Pack pre - Xmas.  That takes the equivalent average price per round down to just £10! (£50 for 5 W/E rounds)

We know this will be valued by at least one or two of you and we are delighted to trial the offer to see how it goes.

Please let us know if you are interested by completing the form or speaking to me in the clubhouse 🙂

Thank you

Sarah and the Clubhouse Team

Christmas Eve Texas Scramble – The Best Fun Comp of The Year!!

Colleagues,

Please find below the details for our annual Christmas Eve Scramble which will of course take place on Saturday 24th December. Members teams will be playing for the Bob Wilson trophy and a bottle of something each. Any team which has 2 guests or more will be playing for the guest team prize which is a bottle of something else!!
Sarah will post the sign-up sheet at the bar as usual and we would ask that you sort your teams and get them signed up ASAP.
This is always a fun day and good introduction to Christmas so get organised and let's see who can wrestle the Bob Wilson trophy away from the Family Wagerfield and Friends who were the inaugural winners last year.
I would also politely remind members of the two other events we are running in December. The Club Stableford will be this coming Saturday 10th and the Seniors Stableford on Tuesday 13th December.
That's it so let's get organised
Best wishes
Al Bowyer
Club Captain

Note to members inviting guests.  The normal guest green fee will be discounted from £30 to £20.  So, for a total of £35 (£3 cheaper than a normal am green fee), your guest will enjoy a club competition and the inclusive food and beverage package!

Ladies December 2022 Update

 Princes Risborough Golf Club

DECEMBER NEWSLETTER FROM YOUR LADIES COMMITTEE

Hello Ladies

The weather has been a bit mixed during November, with our away day at Wycombe Heights being postponed until next year.

The results for November are:

Inaugural Florida Scramble     Winners: Liz France, Alma Piddington & Gerry Walker

November Stableford            Winner:  Rosie Brand

Jill’s charity is MNDA and when the Bonus Golf competition was cancelled due to bad weather, instead of playing golf the ladies met for coffee and were shown a very moving video about Rob Burrow, who suffers from Motor Neurone Disease.

Polly Allen and Sue Pomeroy have put together a wonderful Christmas hamper to raffle in aid of the MND Association.  Raffle tickets at £5 are available from the bar where the hamper is now displayed.

As regards golf, we must just once again mention that hedgehog wheels must now be used on golf trolleys at all times.  Any players without hedgehog wheels must only use trolleys in the rough at the side of the fairways.

December programme:

Fri 2        Mixed Stableford

Sat 3        December Stableford

Wed 7      December Stableford

Fri 9        Mixed Stableford

Wed 14   Turkey Trot competition and lunch

Fri 16      Mixed Stableford

Wed 21    Christmas Foursomes competition

Sat 24      Christmas Eve Florida Scramble

Wed 28    Six-Six-Six competition

Fri 30      Mixed Stableford

We do hope to see as many ladies as possible at our Turkey Trot lunch on 14th December, including some of our past members.

ENJOY YOUR GOLF LADIES AND HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

CAPTAIN’S COMMUNICATION NUMBER 1

November 2022

Dear Members,

One of my targets in the coming year is, in conjunction with the Club Management, to keep you up to date with various events and other useful information.

So, for my first communication of the year, I am pleased to give you the details of this year’s Members Committee.

Your committee this year includes a number of important changes with Barry Woledge, Neil Martin and Doug Taylor all standing down after many years of being involved.

And as you will see these changes mean that we have 2 vacant positions, namely Competitions Secretary and Treasurer. If any members are interested in joining the Committee and assisting with either of these roles, would you please make contact with me or Steve Sargeant so that we can discuss the options with you.

In the meantime, Steve and I will do our utmost to cover these important roles.

Should you have any comments and/or queries please feel free to contact me or any of the Committee Members, and we will be happy to assist you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I very much look forward to meeting and perhaps playing with you sometime.

My very best wishes

The Best of the Rest: is open to all other seniors who wish to play on this day. Once again, the event is stableford, played off the yellow tees.
Trophies will be awarded for both events.
Those wishing to play in either competition should let me know by close of play on Saturday 29th October as I will issue the start list on Sunday 30th October.
Entry fee is the standard £3 and will be collected by Al Bowyer through the seniors system.
That's it. Please let me know if you wish to play and just as a reminder - the AGM is on November 1, at 7.30pm in the clubhouse - hope to see you there.
