THE WINNERS CIRCLE
THE MIKE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL TROPHY: Congratulations to BRIAN SIMS who emerged victorious in the second board competition of 2022. This was a very tight competition and Brian won on countback from Pete Major with both scoring +2 on the day. This is our only mixed board competition and the best placed lady was Bex Lowry with a highly creditable -2.
COMPETITIVE MATCHES
THE HILLMAN TROPHY
Having defeated Badgemore Park, Windmill Hill and Burnham Beeches our men’s singles team are now in the third round of this years’ BB&O Hillman Trophy. A win in the next round against either West Berkshire or Henley will put the team in the quarter finals. Well played.

THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Barcilon Cup scratch competition and the Handicap Championship: Ladies and Gentlemen
This 36-hole event embracing both the scratch and handicap championships will take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June. Presentations will follow the golf on Sunday 26th June. Signing up sheets are on the notice boards. Please do sign up no later than Wednesday 22nd June. There will be no “on the day” entries.
The bad news this year is that the committee have decided in order to keep the entry fee for this competition within reasonable bounds, there will be no post event BBQ on the Sunday. This is a break with tradition but the cost of the BBQ outweighs the benefits. Any participating players who wish to dine after golf on Sunday 26th June should make their own arrangements directly with Trisha.
The good news is the entry fee will be reduced to £10 payable via the envelope system before play on Saturday 25th June.
PGA NATIONAL PRO-AM CHAMPIONSHIP: A MIXED event
Our qualifying event, open to ladies and gentlemen, will take place on Saturday 23rd July. To participate you must sign up in advance with the PGA and pay your entry fee direct to the PGA. Please follow the links in Bruce’s letter which you will find on the PRGC website.

Clubhouse Update from Sarah Tietjen 23.06.22
Dear members,
we have been so pleased with the feedback on all the new activities within the clubhouse
New Bean to Cup - Coffee Machine
The feedback on the coffee machine has been fantastic and thank you all so much for all of the positive comments during the trial. We have now committed to purchase and the new machine will be delivered shortly, configured to our cup sizes and coffee preferences.
New Outside Furniture
Once again, this has been a real hit and we thank you all so much for all the positive comments. We are continuing to improve the outside areas - watch this space.
New Function Space - Orangery
For those who haven't seen the new flooring and decor within the 'Orangery' (was the old buffet area) - it is proving to be real hit!
New Beers
Please say hello to some new beer options we are trialling, including a new alcohol free range (Guinness, Speckled Hen and Doombar) and the amazing new pale ale - 'Ice-breaker'.
New Lithium Ion Buggy
Earlier in the summer we committed to purchasing a new Lithium Ion buggy to compliment our existing squad. It is lighter, incredibly reliable and environmentally friendly. Once again, great feedback from members on our push to be more environmentally friendly.
New Staff - Please give a warm PRGC welcome to Maddie and Luke
Delighted to introduce Maddie and Luke to the clubhouse team - please make a point of saying hi and introducing yourselves. They are already making a great contribution already!
More to come...
We have more plans to improve your clubhouse experience across the summer / autumn and will keep you posted!
Looking forward to seeing you all up at the clubhouse
