Giving away nine shots to a consistent golfer like Graham was always going to be a tall order.
Chris had already battled his way through the previous rounds, even having to win on the extra hole, so he was certainly up for the challenge. Traditionally, the low handicapper tends to win the first hole and the high handicapper the second, leaving the match finely balanced heading into the third.
On this occasion, however, things unfolded differently. A six on the first hole for Chris allowed Graham to establish a two-shot lead going into the 3rd, and he never relinquished it.
In the bar afterwards, a shot-by-shot and hole-by-hole debrief showed just how closely contested the match had been. In truth, it could easily have gone either way.
Massive congratulations to both players for reaching the final, and of course to Graham for taking the title.

Chris won the Seniors' Handicap Singles, while Graham won the Handicap Singles.
