Hello Ladies
Here we are at the beginning of Christmas Week but everything has changed. The announcement that Buckinghamshire had gone into Tier 4 was hardly a surprise, but the speed with which we’ve been hit by the change certainly was.
As you will have seen from the Club Management email, the course remains open under Tier 4 for two-ball golf only, played under strict social distancing conditions. The Clubhouse is closed, except for access to toilets.
If you decide to play you must book your tee time via the website, or by phoning Reception. You should arrive just ten minutes before you are scheduled to start, and then make your way straight to the first tee without congregating in the car park. Only e-card holders have to check-in.
We’re sure you will agree that we are fortunate to be able to play at all, but for the foreseeable future we will not be organising any ladies competitions or informal mornings. We maintain our block booking of tee times for ladies on Wednesday mornings. If you would like to play then, please be in touch with Sarah who will be able to tell you what remains available.
These are difficult times for us all and many of us will have had to change our plans for Christmas, but one thing that we can be sure of is the friendship and camaraderie that exists amongst our Ladies Section.
Don’t forget that you can stay in touch regarding golfing matters at PRGC Lady Members on WhatsApp, and if you want to share photos of your flaming Christmas pud then Ladies Golf Chit Chat on WhatsApp is the place for you! There have been some lovely messages on both groups in recent days and your Committee would like to say a big thank you for your kind words.
For now we wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and let’s all look forward to a better 2021 – it’s just beyond that bunker over there!
