Calendar Update – Feb to April

Please find below the members' calendars for February, March and April.

These are obviously driven to a degree by the weather and subject to change - please keep an eye on the notice board.

For a little bit of fun, we are testing a new competition to add a bit of spice to the Saturday Monthly Stablefords when played Mats to Mains rather than off the Whites.  More information to follow but essentially we are opening up the opportunity to become the 'Winter Champion'.  Watch this space...

Notes from the Members Forum on Jan 3rd 2026

We would like to thank those that braved the weather to attend the Members Forum on Jan 3rd.

See the meeting notes ... Members Forum January 2026 - Notes V1

We covered a great deal in the forum and thank Phil and Mark for their significant contribution to a really positive and wide ranging discussion, and for agreeing the notes.

The management would also like to draw attention to the significant amount of research carried out by Sarah and Luke - in particular relating to the course congestion issue.

It was great to be able to discuss how successful the Xmas Eve Scramble was and the forum thanked Trish for her amazing food - it really was fab,  Sarah and Luke for both the planning and management on the day and to Al Bowyer for providing the blue print of how to run the comp.

Great meeting - next forum date to be circulated shortly.

Members Forum Jan 3rd, 2026 4-6pm

Dear Members,

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to the next Members’ Forum. Please find the agenda below.

What we will be talking about

The future

We kindly ask everyone to read the Governance Section and the Members’ Code of Conduct ahead of the meeting. We’re very happy to discuss any specific points you’d like to raise on these sections.

As mentioned at the last forum, these sessions are designed to complement—not replace—our Committees. With no full Committee elected at the AGM, and while we await new volunteers to step forward, management is currently holding the reins with support from previous committee members during the handover period.

What we won’t be covering

  • Any issues that are confidential or relate to individuals.

How the meetings run

We were genuinely delighted by the respectful and constructive atmosphere at the last forum, and we’re keen to continue in that spirit. A positive environment is essential for these meetings to be productive and enjoyable for everyone.

To make the best use of our time together, we’ll avoid going too far down “rabbit holes” on topics that may matter deeply to a small number of members but are less relevant to the wider group. Those items will be noted for separate working groups, and we’ll provide updates at future forums.

For now, we expect to hold forums monthly, with a view to moving to a bi‑monthly schedule in due course.

Notes from the last meeting are available here.

December Club Calendar

The Saturday and Sunday Club Monthly Stablefords have been rolled a week due to the poor weather last week (and the CBL match being moved to Saturday 29th)

So importantly - the two competitions are set up to play this weekend - weather permitting.  Sign up sheets are at golf reception.

Just what the Doctor ordered!

There is no finer moment in golf than your first hole in one.

Magic Meron Jacyna kisses the ball in triumph - congratulations!!  couldn't of happened to a nicer fella!!

CBL KO Results

Some teams appear to be smashing it this year.

The format of the Winter KO is that each team plays 3 games at home and 3 away.

4 out of the 5 clubs were unable to take full advantage of playing at home.  Its obviously winter and so many factors came into the matches - but there are always some great stories. Imagine being 1 up, 2 to play and your ball is on the 17th green (at PRGC).  You accidentally spill some markers from your pocket over the place where your ball was already marked ready to putt and are unable to identify which one was the original marker - aaaaarggghhh!!
The match went to the 18th and thankfully PRGC held their nerve and went on to win the match!!

Gotta love golf!!!!

Well done to all that played for PRGC - we are all very proud you
