Ladies Club Championships – What a Difference a Year Makes!
What a transformation. Fifteen ladies took part this year – a three‑fold increase year on year. The change? Making the competition more accessible by holding it on normal mornings that the ladies play (Monday & Wednesday) rather than at the weekend. It worked brilliantly.
Our Lady Members competed for six trophies across the Barcilon and Dexter Cups:
- The Barcilon Trophies
- Best Gross Score
- Best Net Score
- The Dexter Cups Four separate Net divisions:
- Handicap 1–21
- Handicap 22–29
- Handicap 30–36
- Handicap 36–54
Val Dexter’s vision was simple and powerful: make the Ladies Club Championships meaningful for every handicap level. This year, that vision truly came to life.

A Huge Well Done to All Participants
The atmosphere and the standard of golf were outstanding. This year’s event shows exactly what can happen when accessibility meets with inclusivity – more people able to play and everyone - whatever their level, had a chance to win - well done ladies!
