We are all aware that it is not permitted to retrieve things from the ponds because of damage to liners and clay. I can only apologise to my Fellow Member for not assisting when today he managed to end up in the pond on the sixth; his name? I could not possibly say (GR!)

Now in fairness it was a bit on the warm side but most of us take a mouthful of water – from a bottle. There can be no excuse for this blatant exhibitionism even though I am willing to concede that his shot, from a tricky stance, was successful. When asked however what he was doing in the pond I could not appreciate the reply “the r***y breast stroke”

I suggest that next time you achieve a modicum of success (GR) in the spirit of the game you simply play on with a modicum of composure.
