2020 Grandad's Cup
Well, Tuesday's weather couldn't have been better. Warm with a slight breeze to temper the scoring. The course was in immaculate condition. Thanks to Mark, John and and Jake for doing the event justice. Even the pin placings befitted (is that a word?) the importance of this senior event, as was the good turnout.
My personal thanks to Gary, Sarah and the clubhouse team, whose patience and co-operation made the event run smoothly. There were lots of smiling faces and compliments from newer members wishing to take part in more club, and particular senior competitions.
Thanks also to my team, Al Bowyer for sorting out the payment (you'll all get a statement later in the year). To Steve Williams for generally keeping his eye on things, liasing on the handicaps. To Barry Woledge for advising on club and handicap matters, and finally to David Whitaker who sorted out the cards, winners, and losers.
