Request from Greenkeeping Team – Buggies

Dear members, due to the weather conditions we request that all buggies stick to the paths and avoid fairways where possible.  We recognise that this sometimes means a short walk to your ball, but it is in everyone's best interests that you do so.

Many thanks, Jack and the GK Team

Last two seniors matches of the season – sign up here…

Gentlemen,
Congratulations and thanks to those who turned out to represent the seniors today at Huntswood. The weather was much better than forecast and we managed to miss the rain.
All the games were keenly contested and winners were in doubt until the final few holes. Congratulations to Paul Gerrard and Alf Dobosz for a fantastic 4&3 win and Chris Thorne and David Thomas who won 3&2. Al Bowyer and Barry Woledge took their game to the wire and Barry's birdie on the 18th secured the half.
However, we just lost out overall by 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 but it could have so easily gone the other way.
There are two remaining friendly fixtures this season v. Chartridge away on Wednesday 10th September and at home to Chartridge the following week on Thursday 18th September. If you wish to be considered please let me know by e-mail or by indicating your name on the sheet in the changing room.
Have a good week.
David

OPPORTUNITY TO SPONSOR STEVE SARGEANT AND UNICEF

‘Funday’ (MumDay) Scramble… a winner!

So we tested out the Funday Scramble.  We didn't know what driver to use or how long it would take or how we would enjoy it - but what a great way to spend some quality time with your mum (or son, or daughter or partner or guest).

We had a laugh, mum sunk some putts and obviously we had to take her drive on the 2nd.  We just did 5  holes on our first outing but we were just 3 over par! and finished in an hour for a coffee / pint in the clubhouse  🙂

Loved it!!
