OCTOBER NEWSLETTER FROM YOUR LADIES COMMITTEE
Hello Ladies
It was a good month for golf in September, with some rain and sunshine, and the course is now looking very green and attractive.
We had a very successful Charity Day golf and lunch on 14 September, where we were joined with half a dozen of our past lady members. Prior to our Charity Day we launched our charity raffle, with prizes kindly donated by many of our local businesses. Raffle tickets at £5 each were sold in the clubhouse a few weeks prior to our Charity Day. Many thanks to all who purchased tickets and especial thanks to Sue Pomeroy who put in such a lot of time and effort to raise as much money as possible for our charity, Wycombe Hospital Stroke Unit. Also, special thanks to Sarah and Julie who persuaded so many players to buy a ticket. The raffle raised £1388. Well done everyone!
