THE SINGLES HANDICAP KNOCKOUT 2021: Congratulations to Brian Simms who eventually managed to beat Dave Mackenzie in the final of last years’ competition. The honours board can now be updated-hooray!!
THE SPRING STABLEFORD: Congratulations to Andy Wagerfield who emerged victorious in the first board competition of 2022. His startling 41 points just pushed Dave Mackenzie into the runner up slot once again. Tough on Dave but well played Andy.
GRANDADS CUP and the ROCKING HORSE: henceforth this will be retitled “Alias Smith and Carter” as our erstwhile club captain Pete Smith won both competitions having tied with Bob Carter on 40 points apiece! With both having 20 points apiece on the front and back nine we entered the wonderous world of the last 6 and even last 3 holes to find our winner. Well played Pete but once again tough on Bob

ADVANCE NOTICES
THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: The Barcilon Cup scratch competition and the Handicap Championship: Ladies and Gentlemen
This 36-hole event embracing both the scratch and handicap championships will take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June. On Sunday 26th the golf will be followed by presentations and a BBQ.
Notices will shortly be posted in the dressing room and those wishing to participate are asked to sign up no later than Wednesday 22nd June. Play will be in strict handicap order and there will be no “on the day” entries.
PGA NATIONAL PRO-AM CHAMPIONSHIP: A MIXED event
Our qualifying event, open to ladies and gentlemen, will take place on Saturday 23rd July. To participate you must sign up in advance with the PGA and pay your entry fee direct to the PGA. Please follow the links in Bruce’s letter which you will find on the PRGC website.
