FEBRUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER FROM YOUR LADIES COMMITTEE
Hello Ladies
The Omicron variant is still very much with us but as the national guidelines have now changed to Plan A, please keep a watch out for course and clubhouse advice from Gary and Mark.
Our planned schedule of golf competitions in January were virtually wiped out completely by the necessary restrictions to play due to weather conditions. However, we did manage to complete one of the scheduled dates for the Winter Stableford. This was played on 19th January and won by Sue Pomeroy. Well done Sue!
It is now necessary to swap cards and write and sign them correctly. If anyone is not sure how to fill out their card, there are sample cards displayed in the changing room. As from 1st February an up-to-date Handicap List will be put on the notice board, together with the Results Sheets.
The Handicap Committee had their annual review this month, with only 1 lady being given a reduction.
Will those ladies who still have Winter Pairs matches to play, please arrange them as soon as the course allows.

As from 1st February competitions will be starting at 9.00 am so that players can get back to the clubhouse for food before Trish leaves for the day.
Invite to the County Lunch at Beaconsfield on Wednesday, 9th March has now been received and will be displayed on the noticeboard. Sue Pomeroy to co-ordinate responses from our ladies.
As regards the forthcoming competitions this year, it is hoped to again run the American Foursomes. This is a fun mixed game, with a Senior man partnering a lady, and it is hoped to be played on 1st April. Come on ladies, let’s show them we are up for the challenge and give your name to Jill or Jacqui, who will pass the list on to the organisers. It is one of the competitions that has been sorely missed in the last few years.
Mixed Pairs Spring/Summer ‘Eclectic’ for the BOWYER BOWL 2022
Our Club Captain, Al Bowyer, is introducing this Mixed Pairs competition specifically for members of PRGC, playing a number of rounds over a specified period. It will be played over the months of May, June, July and August. Rules and general information to follow. Again, we would strongly urge all ladies to take part and Jill has kindly offered to collect names and pass them on to Al.

Sue Pomeroy would like to thank members for the great response she had to her two collections for towels, newspapers and shredded paper. These collections will be ongoing.
Temporary Greens and General Course Condition
Mark Tubb is anxious that all members contact him directly in the event they have feedback on any course related issues.
