DECEMBER NEWSLETTER FROM YOUR LADIES COMMITTEE
Hello Ladies
It was a busy month in November, starting with the AGM (thank you Ladies for your support), the RyderHeim Cup and the Captains’ Drive-In. Club Captain, Al Bowyer, produced a fantastic drive and this was followed by another one from Becky Lowry on behalf of the ladies section. Well done folks!
Winner of the November Stableford was Gerry Walker. Well done Gerry. You certainly seem to be on a roll at the moment!
December programme:
Wed. 1st Stableford
Sat/Sun 4/5th Stableford

Fri. 24 Christmas Eve Texas Scramble (teams of 4)

The Texas Scramble is one of our most popular events and the club committee decided to dedicate this event to our late Head Greenkeeper, Bob Wilson, and this year teams will be competing for the Bob Wilson Trophy.
COVID Protocol - In view of the recent local surge in cases the Club will be enforcing a mandatory “mask wearing” protocol when moving about the clubhouse. It is so easily forgotten, but out of respect for all members please remember to wear your mask when moving about the clubhouse.
Protocol Reminders
- Winter Rules came into play on Monday, 1st You may pick, clean and place your ball but only on the fairway and the mown surrounds of the green.
- Trolley Use: The club has notified all members that with immediate effect only trolleys with Hedgehog (winter) wheels will be allowed on the fairways. If you do not have winter wheels you must keep your trolley in the rough or on the paths provided. All club trolleys have hedgehog wheels and can be hired if required.
- Bunkers in development - If your ball lands in the sand it is in play. The newly laid turf is GUR and if your ball is on the new turf, you must take full relief away from the bunker. If your ball is in the sand but in such a position you would have to stand on the turf to play it, you are permitted to move and place the ball IN THE SAND to a point where you are also standing in the sand. DO NOT play any shot with your feet on the newly laid turf. Bunkers in development will remain GUR until Spring 2022.
- Waste Bins: Please use the waste bins around the course or, better still, take your rubbish home. The green bins are for seeded sand to repair the tees and should not be used for waste.
Please repair any pitch marks and divots you make or find on the course, even if they are not yours. Please rake bunkers after use ready for the next players.
If your ball lands in badger scrapings you are allowed full relief without penalty one club length from the edge of the disruption.
We wish you all a very happy Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
Meantime, enjoy your golf and as always - PLAY SAFE – STAY SAFE
