General Meetings – Members
An AGM shall be held in every year at the PRGC Club House on a date in October or November determined by the Main Committee and in agreement with General Management (GM). A delay may be instigated by the Proprietor if it is felt to be in the best interests of the Club.

- Notice shall be displayed 28 days prior to the AGM
- Resolutions may be submitted in writing to the GM not less than 7 days prior to the General meeting. Any member (not in arrears) may submit a resolution.
- No amendment to a resolution may be made unless 7 days notice is provided to the GM.
- The AGM will normally be chaired by the Club Captain, GM or another member of the Main Committee nominated by the GM. The chair shall have the casting vote in the event of a tied vote.
- To be quorate, 25 members must be physically in attendance at the AGM. Resolutions can only be discussed if the meeting is quorate and resolutions have been submitted on time.
- Members of the Handicap Committee may be elected each year comprising a minimum of 3 people who are members of the club, who must sit at least once per year. The handicap committee can be added to at any point by the GM to ensure compliance and to maximise 'local knowledge' in order to improve decision making.
- Other positions to be elected annually as required eg Captain's, Competition Secretary. Finance etc The Main Committee normally comprises 9 members.
- Appointed members serve until the next AGM or until their resignation date. They automatically retire at the next AGM but maybe eligible for re-election. In the case of an elected member retiring mid term, the GM may cover the responsibilities of this post in another manner.
- Any two members can nominate as candidate another adult member (normally, unless by exception, a minimum 2 years membership) to serve on a committee having previously received the assent of this candidate.
- Names of nominees to be sent to the GM 14 days before the AGM and if accepted by the GM, be displayed on the notice board 7 days prior to the AGM. Nominees may not be accepted if they are deemed by the GM to be injurious to the benefit of members or damage the interests of the club. It will not do so on grounds of prejudice as laid out by England Golf.
- The GM has the right to attend all and any committee meetings and has the right of veto on any decision it considers injurious to or affect the rights of members or infringe club rules, bye laws and regulations, or damage the interests of the club.
Proceedings & Powers of Committees
- The Main Committee will normally meet quarterly
- Minutes will be kept by the Secretary and a copy provided to the GM
- The Committee has the power to co-opt and add additional members to committees - but these shall not have a vote and should be agreed with the GM
- All sub committees are under the control of the main committee (except the Handicap Committee), and may also add additional members - these too shall have no voting rights
- 3 members present shall represent a quorum of any sub committee
- Committees can recommend to the GM a change to any rule (other than those governed by England Golf or the R&A) - it is the GM's ultimate decision to implement or not

- The Handicap Committee is separate from other committees and is mandatory for England Golf affiliation. The handicap committee can be added to at any point by the GM to ensure compliance and the maximum 'local knowledge' to improve decision making
Membership of the Club
- A candidate for membership may apply to the GM to join the club - the process for new and renewing members is as follows - Membership Application and Renewal Process - Princes Risborough Golf Club
- The GM has the right to veto any application (or renewal). It will not do so on grounds of prejudice as laid out by England Golf.
- Once the application has been agreed and the membership paid, the member will automatically be entitled to the privileges of membership and shall be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the members code of conduct. They will also be eligible to volunteer to support a committee.
