Cashless Clubhouse – Member Announcement
We are moving towards a cashless environment in the clubhouse, and will phase this in gradually over the next few weeks to ensure there is no inconvenience to members.
The transition begins now and will be fully in place by 31 May.
Where cash will still be accepted - exact payment for
- Membership payments
- Function payments
We will also maintain a supply of £1 coins on site so that members can continue to enter competitions without difficulty.
Why we are making this change
- Improved security — A cashless environment reduces risk and creates a safer workplace for staff.
- Faster service — No more counting change or “I’ve only got a £20 note” moments. Contactless payments take seconds and keep queues moving.
- Better customer experience — Less waiting time means smoother service for everyone.
- Simpler for staff — Reduces manual handling, reconciliation, and end‑of‑day cashing up.
Support for members who may need help
If any member does not have a debit card or may find this transition challenging, please contact us and we will ensure appropriate support is provided.
What we ask from members
Please bring your debit card with you whenever you visit the clubhouse. Thank you for helping us improve the service we provide.
