After a tough away draw in the Hillman Trophy against an experienced Sonning team in glorious sunshine, the home team eventually prevailed, as is usually the way in this competition.
Despite a dramatic start to the day, having survived hitting a deer on the A404 and arriving in Reading just in time to tee off, Ewan and Tom both rose admirably to the occasion. Tom secured a draw and Ewan was the only away winner on the day, fantastic golf lads and you should both be very proud.
Not so much luck for the rest of the team, who battled to the end. We will now be entered into the Hillman Plate competition.
