You know what they say about parties - get the right people in the right mood and you'll have yourself a great night! Well what a show from Hails Chart - even better than last time we saw her, if that's possible!
A massive thank you to Graham Blackwell for organising the event and the WAGS summer season. He received a huge and well deserved round of applause from a very grateful WAGS crowd and he now hands over the reins to Mark Stinchcombe for the 2027 season.
Also a huge thanks to Trish and her team for a delicious home made steak and ale pie (or poached salmon) and a bread and butter pudding with a twist - lovely!
Whilst I think everyone felt like a winner on the evening - there were some awards for the day and the season to present.
Winner of the WAGS Wind Up Saturday event was John Tubb with Mark Richards winning longest drive. Sadly none of us were good enough on the day to hit the green in two on the 18th but a lovely gesture from Graham (you will see why he was in a good mood in a moment), was to award the nearest the pin to the great Jimmy Finlay who has returned to the club after about a 10 year layoff - welcome back to WAGS Jimmy!
Winner of the WAGS season was - hence the good mood - Graham Blackwell
In second place was John Forrest, and after hitting the green in 3 but scoring a yo yo 10 on the last black flag hole, 3rd place went to Gary Tubb.
Well done to everyone on the day and definitely one of the most entertaining evenings at PRGC - thanks again Graham and of course to the amazing Hails Chart.
