LADIES APRIL UPDATE

This is a good time, the sun is out, the hedgehog wheels are away and we are on main tees, life is looking good. We wanted to send out some information about upcoming events.

1. BCLGA 9 HOLE COMPETITION APRIL 20^TH AT P.R.G.C.

We are getting near the deadline for entries (April 10^th) so if there are more of you who would like to represent our Club that would be great. Apply via BCLGA website via Competitions section, and you will see the competition on the list. There are also information sheets on the cupboard in the locker rooms.

2. BIRTHDAY BONUS BALLS GAME ON APRIL 15^th

This is a special game to played during our Ladies Morning with an even more special post match activity planned and hosted by Melinda and Chris H. Rumour has it there are some zero birthdays involved !!!

The game will be a normal Stableford using 100% of your HC+SI off the Bronze tees. The plan is to play 2 balls.  After the game keep your card and our hosts will announce which are the Bonus Balls so that we can finalise our scores. We will choose our own light lunch and this will be followed in a little while by a Cream Tea and Fizz hosted by Melinda and Chris to celebrate their milestone birthdays. If you can’t play but would still like to come to tea please let me know by Sunday.

Please confirm you wish to play by Sunday.

3. SUMMER PAIRS COMPETITION

After asking ladies to sign up for summer competitions it was clear that there was support for the singles but not for the pairs. The reason seems to be the difficulties in trying to arrange dates for matches. We would like to make a suggestion to alleviate this problem. Contrary to our usual guidance we would like to offer the opportunity for ladies to play Summer Pairs on a Wednesday Ladies Morning. As the competition progresses we would also offer games for those who have come ‘second’ in their matches. A sheet will be up in the locker rooms for ladies to sign up if they would like to play in a Pairs competition. Please sign your names by the end of April

4. BARCILON CUP – LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP

This year the ladies and mens Barcilon Cup will be played on separate days. The ladies competition will be on Monday 28^th September and Wednesday 30^th September. Monday 28^th will be a Stableford competition off the Bronze tees in handicap order using 95% of your Handicap. Wednesday 30^th will be the Handicap competition for the Dexter Trophies playing in reverse order. A list is in the locker rooms for ladies to sign up to play in this competition. It is the most important competition in our golfing year so it would be good to have all taking part
