New Till Procedures December 2019

Great work from Nick and Sarah to introduce further best in class till procedures:

Staff Tabs

This new procedure is mandatory and no-one is exempt; Gary, Nick and all team members (including Greenkeeping staff) will from now on have a tab on the Harwood till as well as the PRGC till.

Every single meal from the Harwood kitchen is paid for at the members price and put onto a new Harwood Tab.  Each tab is then cleared weekly on the Friday through Nick.

Just the same; every single staff purchase on the PRGC till is to be put through on a tab and paid on Friday.

The normal rule in pubs is that people are not allowed to, not trusted to input the sales of their own drinks and meals.  We trust our team and would ask that you take extra care to always remember that you must enter all purchases on to a tab and pay off that tab every Friday.  The tab will allow you to check your purchases to ensure that you haven't forgotten anything.  Forgetting to pay is obviously as unacceptable at PRGC as if you forgot to pay on the way out of Tesco.

For the avoidance of doubt. Team members are no longer allowed to pay by cash or card on a purchase by purchase basis, everything goes on the tab.

Till opening and closing

After each transaction the till must be closed - there are no exceptions to this rule. It must never be left open, even on a busy night.

On busy nights the Harwood till software will switch to PRGC and the Harwood till, to all intents and purposes becomes a PRGC till for the night.  This will double the capacity of till access.  This is by exception and Nick will make the call on which functions this will apply to. He will also let people know which till they are operating from.
