"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"
New Academy Short Course
Save between 1 and 3 shots per hole!
If you want to maximise your enjoyment and minimise your scorecard there is only one answer - practice, practice, practice!
It's What you Practice!!
If you wanted to be good at a sport at school or college, how did you do it? you trained with a coach at least once a week to get yourself ready for the match. Some golfers mistakenly think that just going up the range to 'get their eye in' is the answer. Sadly, this is not the case. What happens is that you develop and embed bad habits. The right answer to increasing your enjoyment and improving your game is to combine coaching with practice. Learn how to play the shot correctly and then practice what you have learned.
70% of Practice Time on Short Game
Another challenge for amateur golfers is that they place the greatest emphasis on distance rather than their short game. However, top golfers and coaches agree that this is holding them back. They conclude that about 70% of your score is decided by how good you are with your short game shots! That's right 70%!! That number alone should motivate golfers to work more on their pitching, chipping and putting skills.
At Princes Risborough Golf Club we have decided to do something about this!
Have Fun Developing the 9 'Smart Shots' to a Better Scorecard
We have developed a new Academy Short Course.
You play the 9 hole Academy Short Course like you would any other course - it is competitive and fun. But, here's the difference, each hole provides you with the opportunity to be practicing one of the '9 smart shots to a better scorecard'. That's right, organise coaching for the 'smart shots' and then have fun practicing them whilst competing with your friends. Enjoy knocking from 1 to 3 shots off of your scorecard per hole by practicing some simple coaching guidance.
At Princes Risborough Golf Club we have put the fun back into learning and coaching great golf - it's a lot easier than you think. Simply practice doing the right things and you will improve. Or you could practice without direction - well what did Einstein say about the definition of insanity? "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result".
If you are a Member, access to the Academy Course is currently free with your membership.
